
Carnauba Wax

The carnauba tree is a palm tree typical of the northeastern of Brazil, where it is called the “tree of life” this is because it is possible to enjoy virtually all parts of this palm tree. Wood medicines, food, oil and, of course, the popular carnauba wax can be extracted from it.

After 50 years, the tree can attain a height of over 14 metres (45 feet). It has a dense, large crown of round, light green leaves.

Although it has been planted in Sri Lanka and Africa, as well as other parts of South America, only in northern of Brazil does the tree that produce wax.

"Queen Of Waxes" Carnauba wax emulsifying, thickening softerning and emollientes properties make it a populay HYPOALLERGENIC additive to cosmetics.

Carnauba wax is a natural wax. It comes from the leaves of the Copernicia prunifera palm grown only in Brazil. The wax is obtained by beating the wax off the dried palm fronds. The pure wax is yellow in color.

Another advantage of carnauba wax is that it can perfectly replace beeswax.
